About Us



Ivey Funeral Home Inc. was established in 2001 when Graige L. Ivey returned back to the Gadsden County area to serve his hometown. A native of Quincy, Florida, Graige started as a teenager working for his cousin, Jim Williams of Williams Funeral Home in Quincy, Florida. In 1983 Graige graduated from Carter-Parramore High School and he moved to Atlanta, Georgia to further his education in Mortuary Science by attending Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. While in mortuary school in Atlanta Graige worked for Murray Brothers Funeral Home Inc. and also Cox Brothers Funeral Home Enterprise. After graduating mortuary school in February of 1984, Graige then moved to Jacksonville, Florida to pursue his internship for his funeral director and embalming license at A.B. Coleman Mortuary Inc. Graige completed his internship and received his funeral director and embalming licenses in the State of Florida. Later in 1993 Graige received a job offer to work with Stewart Enterprise at Caballera Rivero Woodlawn Funeral Home in Miami, Florida. Graige quickly moved up the ladder and became the Assistant Manager of the care center of the five locations of Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Funeral Home. In 2001 Graige returned back home to Quincy, Florida where he fulfilled his dream of owning his own funeral home. Graige has served and dedicated his life to funeral service for almost 40 years, therefore Graige is no stranger to funeral service. Graige L. Ivey is Dedicated to Serve.
