De’Vonte L. Johnson, Sr.  a native of Gadsden County. De’Vonte started in funeral service as a teenager under the leadership of Graige L. Ivey at Ivey Funeral Home Inc. in 2010. After graduating from East Gadsden High School  in 2013, De’Vonte moved to Atlanta,Georgia to further his education in mortuary science by attending Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. While in Atlanta De’Vonte was hired by Murray Brothers Funeral Home Inc. De’Vonte graduated mortuary school in February of 2015. Thereafter De’Vonte began his apprenticeship at Murray Brothers Funeral Home Inc. While completing his apprenticeship, De’Vonte continues to traveled back and forward to Gadsden County to service the Big Bend Area with Ivey Funeral Home Inc. After completing his apprenticeship De’Vonte became a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Georgia. De’Vonte is currently pursuing becoming a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Florida and becoming Dual Licensed. After 10 plus years in funeral service De’Vonte L. Johnson is still Setting Standards of Dependability.
